Rate limits
How limits are applied, and what to do when you hit one.
Limits apply per key, 600 requests a minute, and per account across all its keys, 3,000 a minute. Every response carries:

X-RateLimit-Limit | Requests allowed in the current window |
X-RateLimit-Remaining | Requests left in the window |
Retry-After | On a 429, seconds to wait before trying again |
When you get 429 RATE_LIMITED, wait for Retry-After and repeat the request with the same Idempotency-Key. If your volume needs a higher limit, talk to us.
